Island of the Blue Dolphins( Chapter 4 )

This story is all about keeping to your promise. As in the story, Captain Orlov does not keep to his promise. He wanted to bargain for a low price. Just because of this small problem, it has made the villagers upset. And now they don't trust Captain Orlov. Fighting had occured and many lives had been lost.

And as for my story, I usually try to keep to my promises so as to not letting any bad things happen between me and that person. And after promising someone, you should keep to what you have promised. Most importantly is, you can never change what you had promised at the last minute.

Island of blue Dolphins(chapter4)Connecter-lavanes

1.So when the news came that the hunters had packed their tents, all of our tribe left the village and hurried towards Coral Cove. The men with their weapons went first and the women followed.

Connecter: When there comes trouble first to forward to over come it will be thw men as they are brave and strong.(not all men!) Of course, women don't just stand there are watch! They are there to aid the men during of after the battle.

2.Captain Orlov raised the lid and pulled out several necklaces. There was litte light in the sky,yet the beds sparkled as he turned them this way and that. Beside me, Ulape drew in her breath in excitement, and I could hear cries of delight from women hidden in the brush.

Connecter: Women as per normal are as vain as ever. As shown in the paragraph above. Women may give up anything (not just anything) but not their love for beautiful jewellery.

3.Suddenly captain Orlov and his Aleuts turned and ran to the boat. Our men did not pursue them. The hunters reached the ship, the red sails went up , and that ship moved slowly between the two rocks that guard the cove.

Connecter: In the paragraph above Captain Orlov broke a promise on the amount of share which should be given. Breaking promises are usual. But it is no good as next time when you make a promise no one will believe you.

The Broken Promise
A promise that kills many innocent lifes!I think its similar to reality.Murders often take place due to fights, disputes etc....Well, Captain Orlov was actually not serious at all with the contact! He had gone back on his words. From the scene when the villagers/ ALL THE TRIBES left thevillage, this tells how cooperative and united they were. However,in reality ,people weren't really as united as they were! Some fear while other turned down the offer. But, for this villagers, they were very keen and serious with the contract and deal. Obviously, they were exasperated and unhappy with the results. From this , we also knew that the unity of the villagers and the importance of not giving up.
As for the aleuts,THEY WERE INHUMANE and cruel. To the hard life villagers, the otters were their source of food and life.If the Aleuts just walk away with more than what they were to earn,it would be ridiculous!WELL,if I am karana father I would react the same. The exchange wasn't what they really want tohave neither to see or get. then I think whatever karana father had done was right.Saracifice for the whole was indeed brave.Well,in reality,I think the true heroes/ heroines are the ones that act or help to defend at the correct situation. As for the villagers , even when the chief(KARANA FATHER)had died, they did not flee nor admitting to defeat.Instead, some get up while others when on.They were all keen in pursueing the matter. The bravery and determination in the warrior was touching and courageous of them.Well, as long as determination lies, every matters can be done.
