Discussion director-chapter 4 island of the blue dolphins(kimberley chin)

1)How do you know the tribe were hurriedly running towards coral cove?/how was their reaction?
2)How do you know the author's father is unwilling to tade the otter with 2 chest of diamond necklaces?
3)How do you know the women were delighted when the Aleuts opened the chest of diamond necklaces?
4)What can you say about the tribe after the author's father died and the man fight for victory?/how did the women help?
5)Why did the tribe let the Aluets leave the coral cove without a trade?
6)How were the tribe feeling when the Aluets left?

(1)The tribes left immmediately .They took their weapons with them and hurried towards coral cave.
(2)He bargain for more chests of as the chest does not hold much which was not worth to the exchange.
(3)They squealed in delight in the bushes where they hid.
(4)THEY were determinate to win the war and despite being outnumbered, they fought till the last and and would not admit deafeat to the aleuts.
The women threw stones to the aleuts.
(5)They did not pursue the matter EVEN though they could stopped the ship from leaving the island when the aleuts boarded the ship and left the island.
(6)They were lost and regretted letting the aleuts to the island neither agreeing to the deal that almost wipe off the whole village and causing innocent lifes to be taken away.

1)The passage said that when the news came that the hunters had packed their tents,all of their tribe members left the village and hurried towards coral cove.They felt excited.

2)He felt that the Aleuts were very selfish and unfair,he also did not allow them to walk pass him.

3)There were cries of delight from the woman when the Aleuts opened the chest of diamond necklaces.

4)Most of the people from the tribe died.The woman carried those who died on the beach back to the village.

5)There was strong wind and most of the men were injured.

6)They felt very sad and hopeless.

Do you think Karana's father had a good reason to refuse the payment given by the Aleuts? Do you think he did the right thing to insist on the agreed payment instead of compromising?

To the question posted to me, well,
I think the aleuts were inhumane because they had killed many innocent lifes.As MENTION IN ONE OF THE paragraph,they took their weapons and killed the victims merciless.

Karana's father refused the payments given by the Aleuts becaus the Aleut were selfish and did not keep his promise.I think he did the right thing to insist on the agredd payment instead of compromising.

3)The woman cried with delight when Captain Orlov raised the lid of the chest and pulled out several beads.
4)The tribe were all sad and unhappy when Karana's father died.
The woman threw rocks down to attack the Aluets.
