Today (3/7) Homework

If you had managed to do the following during class today, then basically, all you have to do is to run your research for tomorrow's task. Otherwise, you will have to do the following task at home.

(1) Every post done by the group must be accompanied by a minimal of 4 comments (1 from each member)

** Group leader must check to ensure that your members have posted their entries and comments.

Instructions for Wednesday's task

Tasks:

(1) Every member should be responsible for researching one Theme (Forgiveness, Moral Development-Respect for life, Trust, Survival & Resilience)

(2) Members are strongly encouraged to make use of the World Wide Web to research on the Theme and its emergence in the book.

(3) Members are to make reference to the chapters in the book where the Theme is emphasised.

(4) At the end of each entry, you must state clearly the links where you found your research from. You are to hyperlink the page.

- A menal or emotional expression of indignation, resentment and anger against a person for a perceived offence made.

Why? : Although the wild dogs killed her brother, she brought an injured wild dog back to treat it as it was hurt by an arrow.

why? : Due to ramo's impulsiveness, he caused his sister to not be able to go to another island with the tribe but karana did blame him, moreover, she comforted him.



Chapter : 21



Why? : Although aluets killed her father, she forgave an aluet, Tutok. And she even told the aluet her real name.

After Ramo is killed, Karana was left alone on Ghalas-at.
She was lonely and has many enemies. She was attacked by wild dogs
almost everyday. In each case she has the opportunity to take her revenge, but does'nt. In the cases of Tutok and Rontu, Karana's ability to put compassion and forgiveness above vengeance is rewarded by friendship. But her friendship with Tutok causes Karana to feel more deeply her need for human society, and after her friend's departure, Karana looks forward with renewed intensity to the day of her rescue.
