Moral development-By lavanes(done by me)

In moral development ,(Chapter 3) Karana has talked to her father about the aleuts killing the otter but in any ways her father did not care as for him it was a profit of an add to their gains as there are left with more food and and facilities which you can get from an otter. Not only that, since Karana's father thought that there were alot of otters around the island he did not mind. But when Karana is stranded loosing her brother she had to kill the otters herself for survival. Soon after making friends with some animals in the island she decide not to kill those animals such as the otter for their sinews and fur for cap and clothing for winter. She even stop killing cormorant for their beautiful feather and even though she doesn't like they way they make ugly noises to talk.
She even did more.....
When her brother was killed by the wild dogs mainly by the leader she went to the lair(already killed five from their pack) just to aim for the leader which she use her and attack. The leader finally got hurt and was disappeared soon when Karana finds him injure badly by her but instead of killing him with the spear she held she, brought him back and nurse him until he cure so by time fly they become finds and spent alot of time together.
