I can know from the paragraph above that she is so sad about her brother, Ramo death. She was sad that she want to help her brother, Ramo to kill the wild dog in the cave.

In the last two sentences, you mentioned that she wanted to help Ramo kill the dogs...
but did not have a motive to kill them .He just wanted to go on with life with his sister and learn new thng about island until the ship returns.
