Chief Chowig : He is very loyal to his own village as a leader and responsible to the tribe. He is a very Brave man too.Karana : She is the Main Character of the story and was watching the fight between the tribe and the Aleuts with her sister behind a brush from a cliff. She knew her father's temper well as she knew that when her father is really angry, he will pull his ear.Captain Orlov and The Aleuts : They are not trustworthy and Unreasonable as they did not follow what they had promised Chief Chowig. He and the Aleuts even fought with Chief Chowig and the tribe and ran off with all the otter's pelts after injuring and killing the villagers.
