Meaning - to push something somewhere suddenly or with a lot of force
Sentence - Dean thrust his hands in his pockets
3) Stride
Meaning - to walk with quick long steps
Sentence - He stride across the room.
4) Solemnly
Meaning - in a grave and sedate manner
Sentence - The judge sat there solemnly.
5) Sifted
Meaning - separate by passing through a sieve or other straining device to separate out
coarser elements
Sentence - The cheft is sifting the flour.
6) Snarling
Meaning - an angry vicious expression
Sentence - '' Shut up ! '' he snarled.
7) Scurrying
Meaning - to move quickly with small steps
Sentence - A beetle scurried across the steps.

There are some words that I don't understand. What is the meaning of "dune" ?
The meaning of dune is a ridge of sand created by the wind; found in deserts or near lakes and oceans.
what is the meaning of 'srtaining' and 'coarser'?
what is the meaning of 'srtaining' and 'coarser'?
were there other meanings of this words that are not return down ?
what is the meaning of 'nettles' , 'dune' ?
The meaning of nettles is causing annoyance in; disturb, especially by minor irritations and the meaning of dune is a ridge of sand created by the wind; found in deserts or near lakes and oceans.
There are quite a lot of meaning in each of the words but I put the words which are quite understandable.
The meaning of straining is removing small particles by passing through a filter and the meaning of coarser is large-grained or rough to the touch.
